Hosa Cable CMT415DS ControlSync Cable for ADATAlesis uses 9 pin D Sub cables to synchronize two or more ADAT or ADAT XT digital multitrack recorders, and to connect their BRC remote control. They changed their original specification for synchronization cables when it was found that ADAT power users with 2 or more ADATs and a BRC remote were putting a lot of bi directional signal through that cable, creating crosstalk within the cable, which caused loss of sync and other strange phenomena. Be advised that Hosas CMT 400DS Series 9 pin D sub cable is made to the new, exacting specification. The DS in their model number stands for double shielded.
