The back and sides are constructed of patented high
pressure laminate HPL and then joined to a solid Sitka spruce top. The result Great sounding and playing guitars, environmentally friendly and now ready to plug and play and one of the best values ever. The Fishman Sonitone system features proven Sonicore under saddle pickup technology combined with "easy access" volume and tone controls conveniently and strategically located just inside the soundhole. The Martin DX1KAE comes with a modified low oval neck made of Stratabond with a 20 fret black Richlite fingerboard. The hand rubbed finish adds a look of pure class pure Martin!
