I've had this drum for about a year now and it has definitely become my 'go to' snare. Jeff Ocheltree work as a drum tech for the great John Bonham, and it shows in this drum.... it definitely has that massive crack to, yet the drum still has a ton of fatness. One thing you do need to know, this drum is LOUD!!! (yes, you can play it dynamically, and it has a great range, but lets just say it wouldn't be my first choice in a small jazz club. The only other thing is this drum weighs a ton, so if that's an issue be warned. Personally I could care less, for a drum that sounds this killer I'll gladly lug a few extra pounds around. This is one of those drums you'll keep for good... get one and let your inner Bonham out. |
