The 14 tom has 4 outer plies of Maple but adds 2 inner plies of Mahogany to increase the lower frequenices and accentuate the warmth of the Maple. The 22 bass drum incorporates an amazing 6 inner plies of Mahogany surrounded by 2 outer plies of Maple for the ultimate in solid response. Both the 14 tom and 22 bass drum feature a fully rounded bearing edge for maximum shell contact for a boost in mid to low range frequencies. Other features include OptiMount tom brackets which provide tom stability with maximum resonance.  The BRL Bridge Lugs have a swivel function that allows for perfect head seating and the ultimate in tuning intergrity.
