The Sterling Silo30 offers a solid contoured basswood body that makes for a resonant and lightweight guitar that sounds and feels great, a 22-fret maple neck, 5-bolt Music Man designed neck joint, 4+2 style headstock, and a classy white pearloid pickguard.The Silo30 has a SSH pickup layout and is packed with vintage voiced hot single-coil pickups in the neck and middle positions, and a humbucking pickup in the bridge position. Controls include a 5-way switch, with master volume and tone knobs.The Sterling locking tuners provide excellent tuning stability and quick string changes. Absolutely amazing guitar. Finish and fit are equal to any high end guitar I have ever seen or played. Quality materials are used for body, neck, and hardware. Intonation was spot on when I got mine, as was neck bow ; but with the heavy gauge metal bridge is so well made, and the use of a turning wheel at the base of the neck, these adjustments should be an easy task even for a novice. Pick up performance is impressive from low to high. Action is light and precise. This guitar has fast become my favorite player with my Les Paul and Rick 12 having to spend more time in their cases. Though 3 times less money than a US made Musicman, this guitar has shown me every bit the same great feel, sound, performance. Thanks for a truly superb import ! OFFY |
