Their premium two-ply Asian oak shells are crafted into a contemporary broad-waist Afro-Cuban profile that provides warm and deep exclamations. The shells are then highlighted with a sunburst fade finish. Black mirror chrome hoops and lugs give them a sleek and modern look. They're fully evocative of their namesake, Eric Velez, the young New York veteran percussionist who has played with everybody from Mark Anthony to Eddie Palmieri. Six tuners s opposed to the usual five promote symmetrical cross-lug tensioning and ensure pitch stability. A black mirror chrome Easy Play hoop provides secure seating of the specially matched top-grade natural bison head.
